Feb 2023 - I went into your store to look at Mobility Scooters and was made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Sue showed us the scooters you had in stock and explained the features of each scooter. I tested 2 of them and settled on one (A Monarch Whizz) which suited all my needs. Sue showed us how to dismantle the scooter and showed us the accessories that were available.
Today I went back to Cowper's Mobility Centre to ask advice on insurance and to look at a scooter cover. Susan & Sarah greeted me like an old friend & made me feel welcome.
I would highly recommend Cowper's Mobility Centre for purchasing a mobility scooter and accessories. The service you receive is the best - from its friendly staff and the products on offer. From a very satisfied customer, Mrs W. Penrith
Dec 2022 - I recently enquired in the Cowper’s Chemist shop, Penrith to see if they stocked a walking aid for my elderly Father. I was told they stocked all kinds of mobility aids in their other shop, Cowper’s Mobility Centre. They have everything you could imagine to help elderly/ disabled people and the staff were so helpful.
The following week I took both my parents in to the shop. The staff were so helpful and patient with my Dad. They took time to help him choose the right Walker for his needs. He tried out 3 devices before choosing the one he wanted.
Sarah then took us upstairs (Dad and I were able to use the lift) to try out their electric operated chairs. Dad tried them all several times. All the mechanisms were explained to us. He chose the one that best suited his needs and the staff delivered it to my parents home the next day. They set up the chair and made sure that Dad knew how to work it before they left. Sept 2022 - On Thursday 9th September I went in to Cowper’s Mobility Centre. I was greeted with a friendly “hello how can we help”. I was in bit of, as I like to put it, a quandary. I explained this to the ladies and I was put a ease straight away. I don't live in Penrith and I wanted to buy a recliner chair for my mother in law. Thinking it would be difficult to choose from a book and how long it would take to get one delivered, at which the reply was “we have some in stock”. I was promptly taken upstairs, tried them all out and chose one. It is being delivered on Wed 21st Sept, by the ladies, to Merlin court. (It could of been sooner but I was going on holiday later that day). What a great experience it was. I left the store feeling very happy and relieved at such good service. Thank you - June Reading

Sept 2022 - We are complete beginners to the world of mobility provision and did not now where to start. Cowper’s Mobility Centre were recommended to us and they were an inspiration and a total reassurance. Shirley and her team could not have been more helpful. There was a real sense of integrity, we felt listened to and knew that the team were being supportive of us and trying to provide what we needed. There was no heavy sale, just kindness and understanding. In a world increasingly dominated by internet shopping, Cowper's Mobility Centre were a timely reminder of the value of human contact. They did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it and gave us helpful contacts in the local area. We now feel much better equipped, practically and mentally and feel fortunate to have such an outstanding provision in our local area - K & G, Penrith area
Aug 2022 - My brother Martin recently bought a chair from yourselves. The service we received was of a very high standard, from the first time we visited the shop to the chair being delivered. May 2022 - We purchased a Drive Airfold power chair on 13th May and I wanted to let you know that David is absolutely thrilled with it. He has used it several times outside and has discovered that it will take him down our long and fairly steep drive and back with no problems. We also took it to Appleby and used it along the river there. He is looking forward to getting out more and I am looking forward to not having to push!
